Platform migration checklist

Twenty steps for switching charging platforms without losing sessions.

Before

- List every charger: model, firmware, OCPP version, current URL
- Export drivers, RFID tags and tariffs
- Check that each model can change its central-system URL remotely
- Agree on a cut-over window with roaming partners
- Register all chargers and tags in the new platform
- Test one charger of each model end to end
- Prepare the driver communication

Cut-over

- Freeze tariff changes
- Change the URL on a first small batch
- Check boot, status and a full test session per model
- Move the remaining chargers in batches
- Watch the rejected-connection log for chargers with wrong credentials
- Keep the old platform reachable for sessions still open

After

- Reconcile sessions and revenue between the old and new platform
- Compare uptime per site with the month before
- Turn on load management and new tariffs one site at a time
- Close the old platform once all sessions are settled
- Update QR stickers and driver information
- Review the fault log after one week
- Write down what you would do differently
